Meet the Sylvester Family. Like most people, we were tired of life being handed to us. Furthermore, our health was failing, communities were turning on each other, and our children’s future looked bleak. Consequently, we packed up and moved to an abandoned 160+ acre farm on Hurricane Creek. There, we began Hurricane Homestead and started building our best life together. Finally, in 2020, we began documenting our journey towards sustainability. We invite you to join us here on the homestead as we explore the beauty, challenges, and joy of living close to the earth. Our hope is to inspire you with every picture and video as we garden, raise livestock, hunt & forage real food, and ultimately transform from city dwellers to country folks.
